How Cold Controls Inflammation

Getting injured may happen anytime, anywhere, especially during your daily activity. It can be small wound or even worse. Normally, external wound is so much easier to handle with the first aid because we can see how worse that wound is, but what if it is an internal one? We hardly recognize what cause the illness because we just see the symptoms. It could be the same case with inflammation. So, before you take your friend or your loved one to hospital, you can take the first aid with this easy tip.

First, go to your refrigerator and get your supply of cold water. Take cloth and fold it into a broad strip then dip it in cold water, ice water is preferable. Apply it to some areas like head, neck, abdomen, chest, and back. Using the cold compress to control inflammation by using a cloth that has been wrung out in cold water for a local application is a best method.

This cold compression method is effective way to control inflammatory condition of the liver, kidneys, spleen, stomach, intestines, lungs, brain and so on. Furthermore, it helps in cases like fever and heart disease.

Also, if you get irritation in your eye area, cold compress will sooth your irritation of the dermis and inflammations of external portion of the eye. If it gets worse, like the irritation is already affecting the eye ball, you better check it to your doctor for further medical treatment.
